In this assignment, you will experiment with noise removal using different kinds of the Radon transform:
- Linear Radon transform for groundroll attenuation in the Alaska data.
- Parabolic Radon transform for multiple attenuation in the Viking Graben data.
- Hyperbolic Radon transform for multiple attenuation in the Viking Graben data.
Different aspects of the Radon transform are discussed in (
Gardner and Lu, 1991). Different aspects of multiple attenuation are discussed in (
Weglein and Dragoset, 2005).
